Devastated wife warns couples not to go to bed angry after she fought with her husband at night and woke up to find him dead

Beauty Therapist/mother-of-three, Ashley Murrell, has urged couples to not go to bed angry after she fought with her husband and woke up to find him dead. Ashley and her husband Mickey, met in 2007 and tied the knot in 2010. After they married he adopted her 14-year-old daughter and they later had twins in 2013.

The night before his sudden death, Ashley had a heated argument with Mikey, 36, when he returned home late from a 16 hour shift as she was worried that he was overworking his injured body. They failed to resolve the argument before bed and she told him to sleep on the sofa, which he did. By the next morning, she discovered he was dead.

Paying tribute to her husband, Ashley who later discovered that he had been working extra hours to save money to take her to Prague for their anniversary, said:

"Mikey was so caring, if he walked into a room and saw someone unhappy he would be the first person there trying to cheer them up. He absolutely loved his family. He wanted his kids to have all the things in life that he didn't and he worked so hard to make that happen. He would work 16-hour shifts, seven days a week just so he could save up enough to take us all to Disney every year. He was so worn out but he would do anything just to see us smile.

"But the hours he was working were just getting too much. He was so exhausted all the time and he was running himself into the ground and his health was going downhill fast. When he came home that night he was a mess, I have never seen him so exhausted. I couldn't stand seeing him like that and I got angry. I was sick of it.

"I had a go at him and told him to sleep on the sofa which was stupid because I really just wanted him around more. When I came out of the bedroom and saw him the next morning I knew something was wrong straight away. He was lying exactly where I left him and his face was all discoloured - he looked grey. I walked over and touched him but he was cold and I jumped back and ran out the room. I started screaming "your dad's dead" to my 14-year-old and ran into the street screaming "Mikey's dead". 'I blacked out and had to be carried back into the house by neighbours. It felt so surreal, I couldn't process it. I didn't feel like he was dead, I felt like he had left me..

"When the ambulance came and they confirmed he was dead I collapsed onto the floor and I was sick. Nothing made sense 'I felt so guilty. I was so angry with myself for making him sleep on the sofa. I still find it so hard to think that my last words to him were out of anger. When I found out he'd been saving to take us on an anniversary holiday it was awful - heartbreaking doesn't begin to cover it. Losing Mikey has changed my entire perspective on life. Life is too short to go to bed angry and not to spend every moment you can with your family."

Very touching story. On a lighter note, our naija people would have labelled the lady husband-killer and take her through the nonsense and rubbish tradition. We need to abolish so many cultural jargons that are plaguing our society. For couples, who quarrel EPP? Learn to sort out your issues. Discard ego, pride, superior mentality and other stuffs responsible for disagreement. Life is too short to go to bed with anger.

God knows what the man must have gone through in that house. He worked 16 hours a day just to make more money in order to please her yet he came home n she still added to his problem. the man probably died of high blood pressure. now she is a widow n will live with the trauma of having killed her ex for life. this is a lesson for us all. your partner needs your love and care. nagging is a no no. if u kill himnor her u get a new title,u r either called a widow or widower. may his soul rest in peace and may our daughters-in-law not kill our sons in Jesus name.

Stale news. She's moved on with the late husband's brother 2 months after his death.

She moved on already. The lady is now in a relationship with her husband's brother.
This news is culled from Mail Online UK.

NA WAH! SHE MOVED ON SO QUICK

Could she have honestly moved on just after two months?

She will be guilty for the rest of her life especially when the thought of Mickey crosses her mind.

At the same time, she can still live a very happy life...

Why Mickey's brother? Bcos she can't get over Mickey himself...

A big lesson learnt from this story.
