Before nko? Police can't do anything without money.

Police will take money from you AND from the killers and still won't do their job. That's the way they roll

Even to arrest someone Dr would ask for money for mobilization...

It's the truth they call it moblisation and you pay also to sign the petiton at the commisioners office. I paid part of my moblisation at SARS last year for a fraud case, they still plotted with the fraudster to give them a percentage and abscond.

Now u see why people are killing themselves in the desert just to get out of this country. My dear have been a victim of this before. Nothing will come out of it.

Hope that guy is not from toronto. pls take heart and just forget about Nigerian police. If you've not had a reason to go to the station, you will not know that our police stations are business ventures. They collect money from both the accused and accuser. In short it's the highest bidder that wins. You arrest a criminal, you'll pay for his food, to open file, recharge card, fuel for their van, sometimes candles just name it. If you're not interested in the case you'll pay to close the case. It's God that protects us in this country

SORRY Bro,we have no security in this country and it is a normal thing in Nigeria to pay and fuel the police's car before you can get someone arrested. I am sure the government is aware and will do nothing about it. We are in a country where we leave God to judge everything. Don't be shocked those guys have connived with police to make money from you. Only connection works, may her soul rest in peace.

Is that news. This has been going on for decades. how do think they fuel their cars, even their DPO's and area commanders are very much aware even though they deny it and protect their "marketing officers" publicly. There was a case that happened close to Okokomaiko where fulani and hausa's were fighting with cutlasses the police intervened but they collected 50k per police pick up to station their vehicle at the scene of the fight. The young man is on his own nobody care for anybody not even the government let alone the police. May God help us.

In 1983, my brand-new car was stolen in Lagos. I went to lodge a complaint with the Police because I had a suspect. My encounter with the desk Sergeant at the police station in Orile Iganmu went thus.......Sergeant: mr man what is your name, Me: my name is....., Sergeant: huh, Iboman! I-Before-Others. I ran on a rather short fuse in those days, and came very close to throwing a punch at his stupid face (and of course, having them beat the crap out of me). I was further told to provide money for this and for that, and I finally left that police station thoroughly exasperated. And I never went back there.

Why did you even bother going to the police???
You should have used the money to bury your dear departed mother and donated the change to a charity of your choice. You would have felt better with less stress in your life.
