Uber Nigeria drivers embark on protest, blocks Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge

Uber Nigeria drivers are currently protesting the recent price reduction. According to them, Uber reduced the fare charges but didn't reduce commission they take from drivers. They have currently blocked the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge. More photos after the cut..

  1. all they need to do is contribute money and come up with their own app. it is better that way instead of this. uber would simply leave nigeria.

  2. Since Nigeria has never had any effective government that really protects the Nigerian people, foreigners always feel at liberty to exploit, oppress and mess up Nigerian workers without consequences often after "settling" the so-called authorities. The slave trade modified and continued.

    1. I hope u r not saying that the drivers are greedy. If that's what u r saying, the question I have for u is: Do u have a car? Do u know what it takes to maintain one? If yes to either of them, then u need to rethink.

  10. The truth is Uber runs a very exploitative model. If you want to reduce prices then it is only fair you reduce your commission as well. What this means is Uber is transferring the burden of the whole reduction on the drivers solely. This is why they are turning out to be the most hated company in the world. The app has been banned in several countries already.
