Twitter user, @attamatwit, has cried out for help after her baby is left with large facial scars in a recent operation carried out by a Nigerian doctor. According to the mother, her daughter was diagnosed with Capillary hemangioma, a collection of bad blood cells. The doctor told her it was not malignant, and required a simple procedure. She says the doctor did not tell her the procedure would leave her daughter with such scars and that she got to know of the deep cuts when she took her baby for wound dressing. See her tweet and the responses after the cut.
It will be hard to judge the Doctor from lay man's perspective.
ReplyDeleteI guess those in the field could do better at that, reason I share the sentiments as expressed in the tweet by Dr. Giroud.

she needs to sue the hospital for the errors they have made in the surgical procedure that may leave the girl scarred for life.

You don't anything and you are asking the mother to sue. Oloshi jatiti, ignorant cunt
DeleteIt is still fresh, swelling and scaring will reduce, as she grows older the scar size will reduce. She will live a normal life and still attract as many people as would have without a scar.
DeleteWhy do you talk like a fool sueing the hospital will do what for the baby scar were you there with them at OT to know what caused the extent of the scar my daughter once had an instance with stomach pain in which she was rushed to ER they did scan and thought they see blockage inside the intenstine but after the surgery the doctor came to us and said there is nothing inside and they are sorry for the scar i can sue them but what matter is they made an attempt to save my daughter and she is ok so pls think before you talk
DeleteChildren don't retain scars... I pray hers will fade away
ReplyDeleteExactly. It will fade away and leave a tiny scar. Be grateful that the growth is not cancerous. The scar will fade away
Deletedont worry she is sill a baby and the scars will dissapear with time.I DONT KNOW if you have (cicaplast baume b5)In Nigeria? if yes apply it twice a day to the scars and before u know it the scars will be invisible and try not to expose the scars to sun.YOU SHOULD be grateful that she is alive.GOD WILL heal .
ReplyDeleteSome people will just open mouth gboa and start spitting trash. Sue the hospital for scarring the child? Was the tumor going to be remove magically?
ReplyDeleteI have a worse scar from my surgery
ReplyDeleteI have a scar on my forehead i hated my face when it happened but today i dont even take notice of it again not because its cleared but have come to see it as an identity
ReplyDeleteAlready the doctor has now explained to her that scarring is a known complication of that procedure. Pls she should be thankful that her pretty Angel is alive. The scares will fade with time. Just be thankful she is ok.
ReplyDeleteNo need to sue anyone. They are scares that will naturally go away with time cause she's a todler. That pix must have been taken within a week of surgery so its normal. People should stop running to social media to expose stuff. At the end of the day, internet never forgets. Sobwetin she wan make we do now? Make she sue for compensation or what? What she should be telling us is weda her baby is fine or not. Health first and not scare first
ReplyDeleteIt will fade away
ReplyDeleteA doctor should explain the ramifications of treatment before surgery since medical field is not a secret cult. The mother can also draw the attention of the medical association before any actionable litigation to see if they can provide free consultants to remedy the situation and caution the said erring doctor against further mistakes

ReplyDeleteOnly a plastic surgeon is allowed to operate on the face in the UK.
ReplyDeleteThe reason why is demonstrated above.
