  2. Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord , And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
    Psalms 1:1‭-‬6 NKJV

    2. Exactly nothing sad about that! It's probably his side job and he is probably hoping to establish a big company that hosts parties and does MC jobs at gigs.
Is that not better than stealing? Do not despise your humble beginnings.

  7. Ms Linda, I cant say cos i dont know the whole situation with the guy. But the best career is one you have passion for. I have friends who are graduates but prefer hosting parties ie MC's and some who prefer DJ work. So it might be his passion or it may just be that he hasn't gotten a job he wants yet. But I believe that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

  15. Nothing wrong with that if he can pick his bills by wearing mascot regalia. High time we forget about white collar job and make use of our skills to earn a living rather than blaming government for what is not available.

  21. well in my humble opinion,it doesnt really mean.this is why we dont move forward as a nation because of too much emphasis on paper qualification.people fail to realise that the government dont owe u nothing.meanwhile you can learn how to turn your facebook account into a money making machine.

  22. Masters in what? That will explain it. Some people waste money in useless courses and then hope for the best. Linda does not have masters degree. Seun of nairaland does not have masters degree. Instead of creating a niche, some are comfortable sitting in classrooms gathering useless degrees just for the title. To continue...Zuckerberg and Bill Gates do not have masters degree

  23. If after 2 masters degree, he's still complaining of Nigeria, he's the problem. He should be able to create something with 2 masters. Something better than being a mascot.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That kind side job with passion. He doesn't have passion for it, if he does he wouldn't go through the stress of acquiring two masters degree. It's the state of the economy. Lobatan!

  25. That's not for us to judge. Ours is to make the most of what opportunities zgod brings our way.

  26. Mascot regalia? That is a clown costume. 2 Nigerian degrees, and a clown costume is renamed mascot regalia, exemplifies everything that is wrong with Nigeria, no truth no depth no breadth.

  28. Yes, dear Muktari and Owolabi. Why do Nigerians think that degrees automatically entitle them to white collar or bank jobs? The economic point of getting an education is to be productive and self sufficient through honest means. There is dignity in honest labor, never mind how many degrees you have. Such backward thinking.

Two masters degrees do not guarantee that he'll be the best child birthday MC or even an average performing banker - Nigerians need to come down this high horse of "I am somebody because I have degree". Also please call a spade a spade, stop couching things in fake language to hide shame. He's not dressed as a mascot, he's dressed as a clown!

  29. At least, he is fulfilling the dream of LIE MOHAMMED and those leaders and corrupt Nigerians who ate and are still eating the future of our youths while amassing 'wealth' for their children.

Who is to blame? All of us who fold our hands preferring to be 'connected' to the big wigs/ politicians in Nigeria, celebrating and identifying with all the thieves in government, public and private service.

All Nigerian graduates who settle for lesser pay from wicked employers and the toothless professional bodies who keep masquerading asking for annual dues without finding out from employers of labour how much a graduate is worth:

    B.Sc/HND - N40,00-50,000
    M.Sc /Professional certification- N80,000-100,000
