A little girl called Onyinyechi (9yrs) always come to my mum’s shop where am currently working while waiting for youth service, to buy some things for her Aunty. This little girl is always full of smiles but only when you take a closer look at her, would you see the agony she passes through in the hands of her madam.
On Monday when she came to the shop, there were
blood stains on her cloth and when I looked at her head, I saw that it
was broken in two different places.
When I asked who did that to her, she said that
it was her Aunty that broke her head because her aunty’s daughter’s
baby food finished and she did not tell her. I was close to tears and
when I asked if she had eaten she said no, by 12pm ooo
I wanted to send in this post that day but I decided to wait but what I saw today was another level of wickedness.
Onyinyechi came to the shop today to see me, to
show me the latest designs her aunty made on her body with bite and belt
marks included. Flogging her with belt and giving her a red patch on
her eye was not enough, she had to bite her too and she is not going to
school.
Please readers, I would love it if any human
right worker can help this little girl before she dies in the hands of
her madam please help. The names of her parents are Mr and Mrs Bernard and Rose Nkrem in Umunoha, Imo State, but she does not have their contact or that of any of her siblings.
If any of you recognises this girl or know her
parents, please contact them to come and take their daughter away before
her corpse will be all that is left to take. God bless you all.

This is what our senators and House of reps should be responsible for. There should be a "Nigerian Society for the Protection of children against child abuse and neglect" with mandated reporters and clear guidelines about situations like this and it should not be rocket science , we can just copy what New York State has. Unfortunately, people mean well but are clueless asking for an NGO or the appropriate authority to help, all b/c they have not been empowered. The successive govts in Naija have only succeeded in keeping people in the dark and their legislature are a lot more interested in this , hence the rouse about the " social media bill" and its content . What a BIG shame

I am sure she promised to send the little girl to school and treat her like her daughter. Why some people are wicked is beyond me! Growing up we had about three to five different helps..decades later We are still close to them all and they are like my big brothers and sisters. My parents put them through school and got them all jobs ..two of them own their own homes and one is abroad with her hubby who saw her with my mum n was so sure she was her blood daughter. We all worked side by side with the helps. When we wanted to leave all the chores for them my mom will scream "they are also people's children come one enter the kitchen and cook!" . People should be wise!

Growing up my mom had 2-3 at each point in time plus her students from bad situations who she 'adopted'.We all woke up by 5am house help or her own children my mom will march us out of bed together . We all went to school yes even to university, we all ate the same food with 2 pieces of meat each when there was enough, if not one each or none. We all cooked ,cleaned up, suffered and enjoyed together. My mom spanked us the same and years later most of them use her as marriage sponsor and still call her mom. As God will have it when my fiancée (husband now) introduced me to his folks the only person they know from my state was someone who was a maid in my house and left when I was still in diapers. She gave glowing testimony and said as long as I am that woman's child, they are lucky to have me!!! People please treat others well, no one really knows tomorrow!!!!!
