Photos: Military officer orders man to frog jump for scratching his car
Is this not abuse of power? This military officer was filmed by a motorist punishing this driver in this manner at CMS, Lagos because he supposedly scratched his car. Na wa! More photos after the cut...
They behave like little gods. Saw one by my estate gate dunno what the guy did but they made him hang his feet by the car window and kinda do press-ups on the floor. It was humiliating
The thunder that will fire him is still sleeping because e go club I swear..Nonsense pple.Instead of entering sambisa to kill our enemies and rescue our girls ,you are here punishing civilians
i saw some cutting grass along that nyanya-karu checkpoint this morning.i wondered what the men did. These soldiers are bullies o jare. They can embarrass even a well-suited man/woman any time of the day.

I went to a military secondary school back then and I was given 12 strokes of the cane with a koboko for hitting a military man's side mirror..lol.. but all those made me to be a strong, independent guy that I am now... So, I dont see anything wrong with this.. :)
Mcheeeeeeew! He is just Power drunk. Anuofia someborri. Linda take note!
Okiie, notice to all LIBERs. Didn't want to do dis before but I gex I just have to do it as a disclaimer. One idiot on dis blog stole my identity, my name & signage. So please any negative comments on dis blog is not coming from me but from the thief cos I would neva say anything bad about someone or wish anyone evil. So I have gone back to using my old pix & my email address is (julie3er@gmail.com). Linda take note!
Linda its not abuse of power,u don't expect him to start exchanging blows with the man the way civilians do,besides these bus drivers are very reckless wen driving, they need to be thought some lessons.
Call it abuse of power but I believe Nigerians need a firm hand for societal change to occur, some of these drivers drive like maniacs and some of us behave like GOATS!!! For how would you explain someone jumping embankments in Abuja just to cross the ever busy highways, whilst a pedestrian bridge is just a foot away from them!!! No be craze be that?!!! That person no deserve frog jump?!
Thank God everybody isn't gonna reason like u,u could b in d man frog jumping z shoe 2mao,its not like u were there n saw exactly wt happened and ow it happend, here u r running ur mouth!!!! Dis z arrant crap, all dis military men are so fast in purnishing d civilians, may God save us from dier torture
This totally unacceptable!!!.. Frog jump Wetin? Say who die.. How much is that his car sef.. Doesn't he know the nearest police station to lay his complaint?! What an arrant nonsense!!!
Ary, two wrongs don't make a right. Everyone, including people in position and power, should obey the law. There is no law in Nigeria that empowers military personnel to frog jump civilians, no matter what they have done. It is just plain indiscipline from the military. That mentality of yours that supports soldiers punishing civilians, is the same mentality thar leads mobs to set "suspects" on fire on the streets. There is no justification for any military or police officer laying hands on a fellow citizen. If you believe that Nigerians require a firm hand, then the law should be applied FIRMLY.
If It is danfo or keke napep driver den frogjump shd be an appetizer to d main punishment. I wish we all had d power to make dem pickpin sef den their incorrect will be correct automatically.
Sometimes I think some people need more than frog jump. Even when u warn them that they are coming too close, it like their ears are full of shit. Put yourself in the soldier's shoes and imagine how angry you would be if it were to happen to u.
U just said it all. They behave like dey are deaf. Sometimes dis drivers deserves more Dan frog jump. Though an not saying d army is right but den I have been a victim of dis drivers and the truth is dat it's so so annoying seeing ur brand new car of less Dan six month being batched and all the driver can say is am sorry wen he could ve avoided it in d first place.
If the man messes with the military, he should receive military type punishment. Abi you want the military man to take him to court for driving anyhow and scratching his car?
I do not support what the military officer did to the bus driver in any way, but most of these drivers can be very annoying on the road, they drive recklessly as if they own the road and disregard traffic rules haba mtewww!!!
well linda if u most knw , dis commercial drivers in lagos got what he deserve bcos of their inpatient n d rush for passengers they drive anyhw he is even lucky the man didn't beat him .
it is really power abuse...i was a victim of of such abuse .i did do anything to the military officer i was receiving a call unknowing to me that he was coming to my direction so i jammed him..the next he ask me to do is to sit on the floor in computer village where crowed of people are.
And you said you didn't do anything? You said you were making a call and certainly not watching where you were going and you jammed him na. You're lucky he didn't tell you to sit on your head. Lol

This is abuse of power at it's peak. The Nigerian army have still not come to the understanding that we're no longer in the military regime. this is democracy where rule of law should be the order of the day.
If it was a bus driver, THANK YOU SOLDIER. PUNISH HIM SOME MORE! Bus drivers are complete idiots and this is the only language they understand. I hope the soldier flogged him on top of the frogjump.
Can you see how the bus driver overtook the green vehichle to smach the officer Car? it was a wrong overtaking and poor driving attitude. it is good for him just that it will cause a lot of traffic again.
the yellow buses drivers are very reckless and unmindful.
Many people drive with impunity in Lagos, unfortunately Lastma, police or frsc cannot always effectively perform their duty. If the man was at fault, then serves him right, let him frog jump. If the man was to scratch your car he would probably insult you, prostrate with apology or run away and there would be nothing you can do, so, jump jump jump, next time drive careful :-)

A former military leader is now on the throne and in a way we are back to the military days; at least in the minds of the soldiers. We have observed increased brashness of our soldiers in public since the emergence of Buhari. More to come, mark my words.
It is gud for dis so called drivers. They misbehave anyhow. If 50% of them r bn treated lik dis, they will behave themselves. Dat was how one broke my headlite b4 I could say jack robinson, he has ran away.
Lets be careful on how we portray security agent these days. In as much that I distaste brute force, I am of the opinion that the aforementioned heading could be misleading. Remember, there are always two sides of a coin. I believe whoever took the photograph wasn't 'man' enough to confirm the caused of the action. Lets be careful please and stop misleading the populace!!!
Linda, if he ask the driver to pay for the damage can he?. in fact the driver himself will request for the punishment. This Danfor drivers are so reckless on the road.
People filming the incident should summon courage to stop such a stupid act. It could anybody other time people should stand up always for human right and freedom.
This one isn't anything sef_ Mehn army guys deal with you, you go happy wen u see police. Dats how they told an uncle of mine to sit on the roof of their army hilux by 2pm in a heavy traffic just because he mistakenly splashed them mud water while they were on duty.

If the man that scratch his car was a big politician or a minister's convoy can he do this to them. It is not only Army offices the do abuse power. Even some low ranked police offices who does not know their rights and want to show power. That is why people don't respect police officers. some of the police offices are very good while 60% of them are power drunk.
That is not abuse of power, it's a means of correction..if it's a bus driver. What about if it's ur car, what will u do. Take him to police station and still pay police for job well done

From the look of things ,i think the bus driver was at fault because he hit the soldiers car from behind. So he should be grateful it was only a frog jump and not a total repair of the car

ReplyDeleteI dont know why people cant use common sense to do this... I dare not be a military man... I swear before God and Man...linda you would see more of these. THIS IS NOT ABUSE OF POWER, at least the officer didnt get angry to shoot or put him in the guard room.... NIGERIANS please learn... USE common sense to make this country better. Thanks you.
