Say what? Zobo drink was brought in instead of blood at hospital?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry over this. This twitter user claims when they requested for blood, Zobo drink in a blood bag was brought in instead. How can? See more tweets after the cut...

  34. As a doctor , I can really confirm that is a blood bag with a blood request form in an hospital setting . the contents of the bag doesnt look like real blood ; too dilute .giving a patient this "blood" will surely kill him . wicked

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Pls dnt forget a blood bag has the dispatchers signature on it as well as the blood type, the expiry date and the name of the facility issuing out the blood. None of that was indicated there. Look carefully, that isnt a request form for blood transfusion looks more or less like a card unless sone hospitals use cards instead of forms to request for blood....the rows and columns are only enuff to taje a signature and probably a date. Linda I suggest you probe boewulf further.

The blood is meant to be drawn in the lab from an individual, not just to be submitted.... And it enters d sachet after it has been tested for viruses, so how did it get into the sachet.
There is more to this than we think.

  123. Thats the handle of a blue plastic cup in that picture and judging by the material on the surface its a bed with a pillow....so its either boewulf is pranking the twitter family, or he picked this pic off someone's wall and decided to be a rumour monger. Why? Because a certified blood bag released for transfusion has on it: I) the date the blood was drawn as well as its expiry date. 2) the signature of the dispatcher. 3) the blood type (as in blood group). And sometimes,4) the institution from which the blood was dispatched. The paper on that surface isnt a request form rather It resembles a signature card as the rows and columns are too small to take patient and blood information, unless certain hospitals use cards instead of request forms. We should'nt be quick to comment because a pic was thrown at us. Its for reactions like ds that jungle justice still exists in Nigeria.
