  4. Awww! Missed when a president was actually commander in chief and his vice always ready to take his place when he's not around.
The only time we see Sambo in the news is when he leads Muslims to Mecca.
Atiku was a boss in his corner.

  25. Jonathan goes to see Obasanjo,

    Atiku goes to see Obasanjo,

Buhari goes to see Obasanjo,... so fcking what?

Since when has OBASANJO become the god of NIGERIA?

If he were that powerful, why hasn't he made one phone call, and put a permanent stop to the decimation of CHRISTIANS and other INNOCENT indigenes of the North?

Let's stop ascribing unnecessary power to mortals whom JEHOVAH can delete from the face of the earth within a twinkle of an eye.

  31. This is a welcome development for our country the coming together of two great men who have sacrificed themselves for the progress of our dear country Nigeria. Atiku deserves a lot of respect because of his pacification background that has positioned him above any politician in this country. That is why because of maturity i see him as the most prepared man for the office of the President.

  39. God pls help us. Nigeria surely deserves more than this. It's a fact that the incumbent in Aso Rock desperately needs to be replaced But not with any of these power by all means clowns the oppositions seem to be parading. Are these d best this country can provide? Honestly no, but how many new blood will be able to afford the kind of money these useless parties are demanding just to pick a nomination form? All the existing parties are formed and sponsored by rogues and criminals just to continue to maintain the old order. That's why only the status quo politicians shall continue to be relevant and nothing will change. They don't even learn from history. Is it not the same Obj that visited and ate pounded yam with Chuba Okadigbo of blessed memory after a purported settlement of their political differences? What then happened after? As for me, I just dey siddon look to see how the present clowns will continue wasting their time and I'll - gotten wealth chasing an election that's already rigged even before the selection day and which they are too blind to see!

  41. @Anonymous, November 14, 2014 at 8:59 PM- Be very careful what you ask for. Jonathan might be a bad president but Atiku could be a nightmare. The whole bunch of PDP, not just Jonathan, are the real trouble of Nigeria

  42. Atiku is an amiable politician.

So he is just playing politics. OBJ will be a fool to think that Atiku has forgiven him for double crossing him.

Springs you out of jail and installs you as president.

In 2003, allows you to get a 2nd term.

2007, you do everything within your power to deny him something he waited patiently for since his SDP days.

If for nothing, he has shown patience and perseverance. OBJ knows that Atiku with power is a lethal individual. He will wield that power like no other.

If APC brings out Atiku he will win! If APC allows for a real primary, he will win! The only election Atiku won't win is any election they don't allow to take place.

  44. SEE WHAT FORMER PRESIDENT IS DOING IN CIVILIZED COUNTRY AND IN UN CIVILIZED NIGERA

President Barack Obama, left, with former President George W. Bush at the dedication of the George W. Bush presidential library.

Former President George W. Bush has a simple explanation for why he almost never criticizes his successor: He feels it undermines the office of the presidency.

In an interview that aired Thursday night on Fox News' "Hannity," Bush insisted he would not attack President Barack Obama even though he continued to have strong opinions about national politics.

"I don't think it's good for the country to have a former president undermine a current president; I think it's bad for the presidency for that matter," Bush said, according to video posted by Mediaite.

Bush, who is promoting his book about his father (former President George H.W. Bush), "41: A Portrait of My Father," also said he had no interest in generating headlines for himself after serving in the country's highest office for eight years.

"Secondly, I really have had all the fame I want," he added. "I really don't long for publicity. And the truth the matter is in order for me to generate publicity ... I'd have to either attack the Republican Party, which I don't want to do, or attack the president, which I don't want to do. And so I'm perfectly content to be out of the limelight."

Though Bush has avoided criticizing the Obama administration, the same can't be said for his former vice president, Dick Cheney, who has repeatedly skewered Obama. Among other things, Cheney called Obama the "worst president of my lifetime."
