The associate publisher of Entertainment weekly magazine was knocked down this morning by a car while jogging near his home in the Okota area of Lagos. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died. He was just 58 years old.
Dimgba alongside his best best friend Mike Awoyinfa, pioneered the now rested Weekend Concord newspaper and The Sun Newspaper. He was also the Assistant General overseer of Evangel Pentecostal Church, Lagos. May his soul rest in peace...amen.

ReplyDeleteYou have taken away one of my sources of inspiration. What a sorrowful and sad day! Why is it that the good always die young?! Dimgba Igwe, I don't know you personally but your insightful and thought provoking publications endeared your personality to me. I always scramble and look out for article in any daily for immediate consumption. You were a patriotic Nigerian. A man of wisdom and peace. A Socrates of your generation and above all a God fearing man. Your death has indeed created a deep vacuum in the world of journalism. May God Almighty give your entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
