What does your rice distribution have to do with how you will ensure good jobs, good roads, electricity, security and other basic amenities for the constituents????

  43. Many are selling their destinies and future because of a bowl or bag of rice. Poverty stricken people.

    ReplyDelete
  44. this is just a clear case of politicians taking advantage of the poverty in the land! when parents continue to produce kids they cannot cater for... this is always the result. Illiteracy, poverty and religion has always being the stumbling block to our democracy. It all starts from our diffrent homes, when there is no more, why wont someone smile when politicians give you rice bought with stolen monies... I quite sympathise with this country. Our politicians will continue to take advantage of the ignorance... If you educate your child and reduce the unecessary burdens that would impede it,... in future, we would have a crop of vibrant Nigerians who would stand up for their rights and take charge of their destiny. How I wish we would just emulate China and stop all these barbaric and wicked acts of bringing children in this world and leaving them to suffer... The multiplier effect is what we are seeing everywhere. SMH!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Bribery and corruption smh for my country, if leaders and followers do the right things and everyone has access to the necessary things a government should give its people, sharing rice would be an insult to the people of Nigeria. Well corruption will not stop if we keep accepting rice, but you can't tell a hungry old lady or a woman who has hungry kids not to collect rice. Even if you don't collect they will still rig the election but remember let God and their dead conscience be the judge. At the end of your life, what would you gain if you collect all the rice and loose your soul... is it worth it?

    ReplyDelete
  74. NIGERIA!!! the country where her people sell 4 years of their lives for 2 congos of rice and one bottle of groundnut oil. we will get there one day hopefully

    ReplyDelete
  76. FYI, what y'all see Fayemi and his wife doing has being on for almost 3 yrs now. It aint got nothing to do with the coming election

    ReplyDelete
  77. Anon@5.50 I agree u with u. In addition these are elderly people, it seems very, very wrong that they have to queue up for a plate of food. It just makes me feel so sad for them and Nigerians in general. What sort of suffering will force an elderly person who has paid their dues to come and queue for rice aluminium plate in hand. God forbid evil. Was there no other dignified way to treat these mama and papa. Sharing food indeed. More like sharing poverty plus insult. Nonsense !

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thts just d way to buy ppls hrt wit their blood moni. Mtchewww!!... By @successralu

    ReplyDelete
  79. I beg to dissagree with this idea that both candidates are sharing rice. Though am no fan of Fayemi nor a supporter of Fayose I think the truth must be told. As for Fayemi he has been giving food and money to the Elderly for close to 3 years now. So we should not say he is just doing it during election because he has been doing his Owo and Ounje Arugbo since. For Fayose this is also one of the reasons the poor in Ekiti won't see that he is bad because he share money, food and other items to them. So do you blame the people for following Fayose who will give you half bag of rice, you eat and you are good as against Fayemi who is not doing so rather he prefer to be using the money to do road construction, poultry and many other developmental stuff which will not translate into. Food in the belly immediately. Fayemi's agenda is a long time thing and its rubish in our present day Nigeria.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Giving rice and other items are part of campaign during electioneering period,bt d cooked one being shared is what I seems not to be totally subscribed to.....and the foolish ones who doesn't know the source w eat it....kai,poverty na wahala o

    ReplyDelete
  81. Sad that the Fayose that almost killed an SGU president back in the day is the same Fayose that the current university students are supporting and eating rice. TOO SAD!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. So they wan use rice buy votes?! Chai!!! Perpetual poverty has deprived many Nigerians of pride and made our officials act with such impunity, it has become a norm for rubbish like this to happen and be tolerated.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Na wa oo. If this is d new way to new an election, I better go nd contest

    ReplyDelete
  84. Collect the rice but vote for who you think will help the state?

    ReplyDelete
  85. So na rice be their problem.pls collect the rice n vote for the right person.

  102. we need lasting solution to unemployment and alot of issues. sharing of rice won't solve the problem or will he continue to share rice throughout the rest of his tenure. there are things we need to consider first (future) collecting bribe and rice is never the solution. pls lets be wise in this coming election plssssssss. #PICCANTO#

    ReplyDelete
  103. It is so sad that Nigerian politicians haven't grown beyond this poverty driven campaign. you only share rice to people when you are empty in all aspects and cannot rise above the populace to see where you must lead them if you eventually rig yourself into power.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Just making fool of the electorate for their own political ambitions which is for monetary motive

    ReplyDelete

  112. This I guess is the first time I am seeing such in Nigerias politics. Sharing cooked and uncooked rice. I hope that rice will do you guys for the next four years. Nigerians! We are not ready for change that I can perceive! We let them buy our freedom, we let them buy our integrity! Challenge these politicians, surprise them! Let's be one! Reject their gifts and show them we are in for serious business. Because we have collected rice, we see the wrong things and behave like we haven't seen any. I don't blame them though, they believe we can be bought so they just decide to give us less than half a bag of rice! Well, no change is ready to begin!
