Photo: Witch allegedly found in a compound in Uyo

I believe in ghosts...I'm not so sure of witches...hehe. I know they exist, don't get me wrong, but I just don't like to think about their existence and I don't believe half the stories I hear about witches. Anyway, according to a LIB reader who sent in the photos and story, a 'witch' was found in his compound in the early hours of yesterday morning. Below is how he tells the story
At about 1:30am, the caretaker in my compound screamed for help and we went out only to see an old witch in their kitchen sweeping the floor when all the doors of the kitchen had been locked the night before. She appeared in there obviously. They quickly tied her up with rope and put her in the middle of the compound. When they started flogging her with broom, she started screaming and confessed. She said they were many but they left her behind and begged us not to kill her. When they asked her who sent her, she refused to talk. From 1.30am to 5am, she refused to talk. They wanted to burn her alive but the landlord would not allow it. The woman lived not so far from our compound so they took her to her house where she lives with her son who is not doing well in life. You will find attached pictures and a video...
I have the video but don't know how to attach to blogger. Anyway, I'm thinking if she lives around the area, she probably went to the house to steal or something? Or some of u think she's really a witch?

    2. Those that laid a finger on this woman go hear nwii... She may just have been possessed with a witchcraft spirit or she may just be looking for food, as she was found in the kitchen. Let's not always be quick to jump to conclusions; we may just utter or act what may hunt us in the future.

    6. It could be that the woman is sick, maybe Alzheimer, and while walking around found herself in that kitchen. Its a sickness that affects d brain n we africans term it to be madness. Im not saying there is no existence of witches but it has to be investigated.

    7. I am not a witch,so I certainly do not know if this woman is a witch.but I believe they exist even the bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, rulers of the underworld, its possible this woman isn't a witch and its also very possible she could be,let us not be ignorant of the devices of the devil.. But seriously they should free this woman mayb she was just hungry who knows..

    8. These akwa ibom pple believe in witches a lot. They seem not to be able to do without them. I have a neighbor like that. Her bb phones crashed at the sme time, she said its an evil attack. I told her to give them to me and I found out that one had water in it so I fixed it. When I gve it to her she said tht she forgot her son dipped it in water. I shook myhead and from that day I call he ATTACK!!!

This woman might not be a witch.she may have other issues and possibly they did not lock the kitchen. If her son isn't doing well so wht? Is everybody doing well? That doesn't mke her a witch. Shey una pple don act film mke una stop that nonsense. Mtchew

  2. If you flog someone long enough they'll say anything...even if she were a witch, she was sweeping your kitchen, what's the beef? I'm tired of seeing ignorant vigilante activity.

There must be a reasonable explanation for her 'appearing in your kitchen'.

But trust overzealous akwa ibomites who only knw how to remove peoples speck in their eyes and forget the log in their own eyes to draw conclusion without using reverse psychology on her to find out what's going on! For all we know its just a poor woman scavenging for food and might have been doing it for a while but once she knew she had been caught decided to pretend to be sweeping and yes am from akwa ibom . we need to show love to d poor around us «««MON AMI»»»
