  19. If anyone still looks down on Fuji/Juju musicians today, that person is probably myopic and not informed. The basis of the Afrobeat we so much enjoy today is Fuji and a lil bit of Juju. Ask Obi Asika and those who know. Without Fuji there is Afrobeat. Period!!

  23. Yes o Djinee. You are right. All this hip hop songs are just 3mins repetition and beats. No meaningful message.

  24. The person who spits trash about Fuji and Juju music must be a very big fool. These are deep meaningful music nade by people who are indeed talented and deep in thought. Musicians who pay attention to culture, trend, people , personalities and society. They are not shallow musicians of today who survive only on beats and choruses of cause laced by the lyrics of traditional musicians. I am part of the top echelone of the society who does not joke with my Sunny Ade, Salawa, Obe, Oliver DeCoque, Pasuma, Bright Chimezie, Barrister Tope Alabi and K1. These are real musicians. Not the papanjimjim crooners who have no depth. Thank you Djinee. It take the deep to recognise the deep.

Yeah! Djinee is right, those are real sounds of of naija, Hip hop artists are too lazy and are given more attention than their counterpart in Fuji and Juju

  52. Needless to say most of our hip hop songs stemmed out of Fuji. Most of our so-called hip-hop artiste are Fuji musicians in Jeans and pant. Their beats are all Fuji and Juju beat.
    Pakuromo - Whizkid
    Omo baba olowo- Davido
    Eminado-Tiwa
Just to mention a few. Some of us need to stop drawing arrogant lines and should start embracing all Naija music. I am from Abagana and I listen to Fuji and Juju. I had Obesere played at my child's naming ceremony. All my colleagues from mobil frowned at it , but were soaked from dancing. two faced people.

  53. he said it joculary witout any stran ppl bad.

  54. Why are people so rude? What is with the negative comments? If the topic does not interest you, wont you move on to the next one?

Its scary how people gratuitously spit (or type)malicious venom. Do you realize that your words even when spoken (or typed) in jest have an impact on your own outcomes? If you speak negatively all the time, then you will experience negativity in your own life and circumstances (no be curse o! Na life principle. What you sow, you reap). Please stop in the name of God. Stop! Let him (or her) who has ears....

    NB
I am neither a fan of Djinee nor fuji music. I hardly listen to music these days. This comment is in reaction to the astonishing number of people who seem to be displaying serious 'bad mind' with the nature of the comments they make.

  55. True Talk. These guys do put in quite an amount of work in their performances & recordings. Just a little more on the sound quality & engineering side would be appreciated.
Femi Kuti was on stage last week at Eko Atlantic...dude was on stage for about 2 hours. Performing Live.
    Wizkid...oya, go do na

  56. this guy na first class mumu how many songs he don sing for his life. Fame don depart from his side since he dey find fame. Fuji na naija get am and it will continue to florish and as for hip hop singers na nonsense dem dey sing. no be one of dem sing ebudiso onetamina oya labo labo. imagine that kind of lyrics on the street.

if you want to know the true meaning of life listen to Fuji music and see the difference.

  57. He is right - don't insult where the talent started

  58. Those of us who belong to the era of baby bloomers(1970s)can testify to the fact that every Saturday morning chores were not complete without some sweet juju & Fuji; afrobeat & pop music coming from our stereos & turntable in the sitting room. And did we enjoy it?
sure we did!,as we hum along while we engaged in our morning chores. Our parents were not razz & neither were the old money people whose praises these Fuji & juju artistes sang their praises.
whosoever, says these artistes & their music are shit, should go take some lectures in history. A nd for the records, these so called razz artistes are the richest set of artiste in Nigeria today & many have amazing connections many of our so called hip hop artiste could ever dream of having.
