Saudi-bound plane makes emergency landing in Sokoto as tyres explode mid-air

A Saudi bound Kabo Air plane carrying 400 passengers from Kano made an emergency landing at the Sir Abubakar III International Airport in Sokoto early today Saturday October 5th.

The Boeing 747 jumbo jet which left Kano on Friday en route to Saudi Arabia had to divert to Sokoto after several of its tyres exploded immediately after it took off the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano. All the passengers aboard the airline have been evacuated from the plane and lodged in a hotel in the ancient city. (Sahara Reporters)

  45. Damn it!
The earlier we stopped blaming witches and wizards and Ogboni for the perennial air mishaps in Naija, the better for us all...
The earlier we started thinking in terms of first principles, in terms of fundamental, objective causes, the better for us all...
The earlier we started engaging thinkers as leaders in all facets of our national life, the better for Naija and the country's aviation sector...
Nigeria has sacrifice merit on the alter of tribalism, nepotism, favoritism, clientelism and mediocrity...
Nothing else is killing Naija and its aviation sector!

Linda pls discard this news there's nothing true about this, the aircraft landed and taxi to a stop and passengers disembark the aircraft after 4hrs so can u discribe this an evacuation?how can u have a mid air tyer explode and u'll still evacuate?the aircraft NEVER made a diversion if u're a taxi driver u driver thru ur route to pick ur passengers as usual so if u d go Mile2 and u pick Cele passenger to have a full bus do u describe dat as diversion pls don't let ppl feed u with fake news n spoil ur blog pls.

Linda am so surprise what pple are takin about as if is not the aircraft I can out from I was on baord this aircraft nothing of such happen biko........this sahara reporter never got the report not even an inch of what happen, there's nothing like tyers exploded mid-air in the aircraft, come to think of it what could have brought the undercarriage out mid-air?let's be logical and this aircraft never made a diversion it only pass to sokoto to pick passenger as usual apart from that the aircraft landed in sokoto airport and taxi to a stop n engines were turn off.pls tell sahara reporters to be careful before Kabo Air sue them oooo,Kabo had a SAFE landing @least I was on board this aircraft to confirm.
