American Idol ratings hit an all time low

When American Idol producers added Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj to the judges panel they expected a jump in ratings. The complete opposite has happened...

Last Wednesday American Idol pulled in 13.1 million viewers, it's lowest Wednesday night rating since the singing competition show debuted back in 2002.

This marks the third week in a row that the ratings have gone down. American Idol season 12 premiered January 16, 2013 with 17.8 million viewers. Last year's season finale aired May 23, 2012 with 21.49 million viewers.

      If u say Nicki is Messing the show up, then u're obviously watching the show through your Radio! Contrary to what I was expecting, Mariah is the one acting all Boss-lady to the contestants... Its sickening.

    Sometimes beef doesn't sell like it does in the rap game. Won't be surprised if the beef btw mariah and nicki contributed to the poor viewership. My suggestion is get nicki outta there. Have not bn able to comprehend what she's doing there in the first place. Obviously not a fan. IAI

      Even mariah is soo plain, like she has no idea why she's there! Her speaking voice is horrible, she shuld be singing the words! She gets aloof sometimes and doesn kno how to express herself.
