  17. Not necessarily ma'm. It was closed in 2008 for repairs and Lagosians fared quite well with normal traffic. they open at alternate hours. you'll be surprised how co-operative lagosians can be. :p

  21. Oh no! I thought traffic in Lag couldn't get worse...Anyway, it's impressive that Lagos State govt put up this notice so that we'll be prepared and if possible make alternative arrangements.

  23. Linda, remeber the story who posted on Dear LIB Readers last friday about a lady whose elder sister is cheating on her(elder sister) husband? Well, through nairaland, I saw a 'slightly' modified version on: www.kenyan-post.com/2012/06/i-caught-my-sister-cheating-on-her.html?m=1

Just thought of informing you; you've gone international!

  43. Nigeria is just a nation with no regards for her citizens. a bridge to be closed down for a long period of while is good because it is for maintenance purpose, but informing d people in such short notice shows how d government do not care about the people. Need i ask if there are plans made to cater for the people who ply mainland and island? i guess No. God save Nigeria.

    ReplyDelete
  44. oh dear! not again *weeping*

    ReplyDelete
  54. jeeeeez just when i moved to the island.which kain yawa be dis?

    ReplyDelete
  55. It's better for us to bear the pain now for that four months b/4 it start to claim people's lives , i pray GOD sud give lagosians d patient to tolorate one another during this period, GOD bless NIGERIA.

    ReplyDelete
  56. let patience jonathan not dare come to lagos asin the other time when the bridge was opened she caused 9 hours delay just do the maths to see how many hours she would cause when the bridge is closed

  57. It doesn't call for alarm I guess. You can as well use canoe to travel to anywhere from there or use aeroplane.
