Duncan Mighty and manager part ways

Dance Hall star, Duncan Mightly and his longtime friend and manager Blessing Fubaru have parted ways. And their story is almost very similar to that of IDJA and D'banj. They were good friends and business partners until they went international. Blessing was managing Duncan in PH before he blew up and started touring internationally. Popular jeweler, Chris Aire, was said to have taken a keen interest in the dance hall star and started getting him international gigs and collabos with international musicians like Shaggy, Akon etc. After a while 'they' were no longer comfortable with the way Blessing was handling Duncan's career and they eventually parted ways.

  2. Am not suprised, I saw it coming and it was just a matter of time. It seems like falling out and having fallouts is the faze now for musicians. It's all because of dollar...do-o-lla!

  4. Life is just the way it is....To move up in life, you keep some and you loose some.It doesn't matter how good they were to you in the past...The vision of everyman man/woman is to get to the topmost level.....And as you climb the ladder, most times you don't get their with the people you started with...not because you don't love or care about them..but because life was created in such a way for you that everybody who crosses your part has a role to play in your life's journey. And as soon as their part is over, they have no choice but to move on.People should leave sentiments and emotions apart, and be objective in their analysis. It hurts, but it is what is....Life is all about who gets what, when and how....

  10. Don't blame them, if u go international, ur 9ja manager ¶§ not experience enuf to do d intl stuff. The managers ve to understand or they manage the Nigeria performance of d artist. That ¶§ life.

  15. Duncan is an in great. His formal manager met him when he needed help the most. They started as friends then it turned out to be business. And now its over. Duncan has a whole lot wrong with him. Cocaine, marijuana and alcohol. He is some one that his manager picked and brushed him up to artist level and now he feels he has gotten there. Its so sad how he could forget so soon that some of his new songs like america was written and mastered by his now referred to as formal manager. Its a shame how dogs from the slum behave.

I guess that's what it comes to at the end of the day really. There'll always be sentiments from different quarters. But na d person wey dey inside go know say time don reach to move on... See Tuface's succcess as he first transitioned from Platashun boiz and then from Kennis Music.. Every association has its life span. Some musicians haven't made it as far as they ought to bcos they failed to make the tough decisions when they had to (and likewise some that have failed bcos they made premature or unwise decisions). Which ever way the dice rolls, life is a journey of lessons. Better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all

  20. Not always true there were some that didn't think it thru and jumped..9ice..2face had to..was so obvious..the future is buying into the company so that u both have a equal stake of sorts..in essence artistically u can do ur own thing but still have the business partnership..no permanent enemies not just in politics but in business too
