Chief Olu Priddy, the father of popular Lagos socialites, Oona, Louise, Dean and Sean has died. He died on Thursday July 14th in a hospital in the UK after battling cancer for a while.

Late Olu Priddy was Chairman of Ebani Consultants Ltd, a property development company. He was formerly a director of John Holt, where he worked in shipping, property and HR at various stages in his career. He operated a number of family businesses, including La Fayette Furniture Showroom and Art Gallery, Bacchus, Six Degrees North and Posh Café Restaurants/bars in Ikoyi and Victoria Island, Lagos

May his soul rest in peace...amen.

After seven years together of marriage, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have split. The couple, who are parents to three-year-old twins Max and Emme, made the shock announcement in a joint statement released late yesterday.

'We have decided to end our marriage, this was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.'

Why can't these oyibo people stay married. These pictures are very disturbing and I am sorry I had to bring them to you, but you guys need to see what that monster Akolade did to his wife, Titi. The pictures were taken at the scene of Titi's murder and they are horrifying, so if you don't heart, don't look. You've been warned.

I think I need to state this here. These pictures were released by family members and friends of the late Titi for the world to see exactly what her husband did to her. And they only decided to release the pictures after Akolade arolowo claimed in an interview with journalists that Titi killed herself. This was just to prove that there was no way in the world she could have done this to herself and they are hoping that the more people who see this, the more people who will fight on their behalf to get justice for Titi.

Dear LIB Readers: How Do I Convince Him?

Hi Linda, could you please share my dilemma on your page. I'm getting married this November to a man I have been with for a little over a year. He is a great guy and I love him so much. But the only problem is he said over his dead body will he ever go down on a woman. He said he has never done it before and never will. It wouldn't have been a problem but I got used to that treatment with my last boyfriend and I don't know if I can live the rest of my life without it. I don't want to end up cheating on him. Is there a way I can convince him to change his mind and if not, what do I do?

My answer: Will you marry me Linda? It depends. On what? Will you go down there? Of course! Alright then, I will marry you! And if I say no? You will have to find another woman to marry!

For me, it's not up for debate...inyé gán gán léyo. How will you not go down there? It's not my portion in Jesus name, amen! Yes, it's that serious! lol

But we are all different. Our fathers and grandfathers probably never went down on their women and they lived 'happily ever after'..so I'm sure you will be fine. *cough*

In March this year, Forbes published its annual rankings of the world's richest people. Mike Adenuga, who debuted on the list, was ranked as the second richest Nigerian, with a net worth of $2 billion, while Nigerian Aliko Dangote was valued at $13.8 billion.

But shortly after the list was published, controversy erupted in Nigerian media circles. Several Nigerian analysts and Adenuga’s staff refuted our valuation. I was bombarded with emails and messages requesting to know the criteria we used in valuing individuals’ wealth, and our rationale for valuing Adenuga so low.

Battered Housewife Sends Hubby To Prison

A battered housewife, Mrs Harriet Obiageri Ariwoyo, a mother of five, has dragged her husband, Prince Ariwoyo, to a Lagos court where he was remanded at Kirikiri Prison Apapa, for allegedly battering and threatening to kill his wife.

Prince, 45, allegedly turned his wife into a punching bag at any slightest provocation, a situation witnessed by neighbours at their Apata street Akesan, outskirt of Lagos resident. He was eventually arrested by the police at Igando station and locked up.

The battered woman claims that their 18- year old peaceful marriage suddenly became sour after she told Prince that she has had enough of child bearing since God has blessed them with daughters. They had no sons. Although Prince pretended to agree with her decision, he later turned violent and turned Harriet into a punching bag.

Most Stressed Women In The World - Nigerian Women Are 9th

A recent study, released by the Nielsen Company that examines the consumer and media habits of women in emerging and developed countries has found that women in India are the most stressed, and Nigerian women come 9th.

The Women of Tomorrow Study, which examined 6,500 women across 21 different nations from February through April 2011, released a list, in order of most stressed women:

HSBC Bank Closes Accounts Of Redeem Christian Church In New York

OK, so I'm sure most of you have heard that HSBC recently closed the bank accounts of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, New York Branch. Their reason? According to a member and official of the church:

"HSBC’s recent refusal to continue their banking relationship with our church (International Chapel Brooklyn of The Redeemed Christian Church of God) was on the grounds that we are Nigerians and that they will not ‘deal’ with Nigerians.

I find it extremely difficult to believe the account was closed because they are Nigerians. It makes no sense to me. But then there are people saying you can't go to HSBC now with a Nigerian passport and have an account opened. If you live in New York, is this true?

A California woman has been arrested over accusations she drugged her estranged husband, cut off his penis and ground it up in a garbage disposal before alerting police.

Catherine Kieu Becker, 48, was taken into custody on Monday night after telling officers who found her husband tied to the bed and bleeding from his groin that he had "deserved it."

Nobody deserves this. If you've had enough from a man, then step away. Why resort to this? Geez!

Woman with 7 miracle babies charged with child trafficking

The woman who claimed to have given birth to seven children in 11 months, (read it here if you missed it) the General Overseer of the Holy Ghost Power Salvation Ministries, Mrs. Precious Ogbonna, was yesterday arraigned at an Owerri Chief Magistrate Court and charged with child trafficking.

Prosecutors say she along with some people who are at large, between the 6th May 2010 and 2nd April 2011 stole the children she claimed to have birthed. Doctors who ran several tests on the woman say there was no proof of a recent pregnancy, no proof she's ever breast fed any baby before and in fact her blood group was not found in four of the children. The children have since been taken from her. She's going down!

The Olori who was brutally attacked by her deposed Deji of Akure husband in 2010, has died. She died yesterday morning Tuesday June 12 at St. Mary Specialist Hospital, Ojodu, Ikeja. She was only 35 year old.

Doctors say she died of cardiac arrest but family members say the late Olori had been receiving medical treatment from various hospitals since she was attacked by her husband who was then the traditional ruler of Akure on Sunday May 30, 2010.

Zaaki Azzay Starts TV Programme

The Hausa rapper just started his own TV programme tagged, True Nigerians - Heroes of our Time. According to Zaaki:

“The programme is aimed at identifying new role models for Nigerians to emulate. It is also to encourage healthy competition among Nigerians and to build true Nigerian foundation that essentially celebrates Nigerians within and in Diaspora. The programme will equally contribute towards organizing seminars and workshops where these outstanding Nigerians will lecture the people about their principles of success and patriotism.”

It airs on NTA network Saturdays 4pm, and HiTV Sundays 7pm (Hi Nolly).
