Over 20 people died yesterday in a multiple accident involving about 10 vehicles around the Kugbo Furniture Market on the busy Abuja-Keffi expressway. The accident occurred at about 4pm yesterday, July 18.
Eye witnesses say the accident occurred when the driver of a trailer loaded with iron rods lost control of the vehicle and crashed into two commuter
buses fully loaded with passengers, killing everyone. Other cars crashed into the scene, worsening the casualty rate. A lot of people were injured and taken to the hospital.
May the souls of the deceased rest in peace, may God heal the wounded.
ReplyDeleteThis goes further to show that our government has lots of work to do. there should be designated road for semi's- and long haul trailers. *sigh* God dey.

My friend was in d first bus dat d trailer hit,he was d sole survivor,he only had a cut in his hand n anor on his forehead. I was with him in Asokoro General Hospital were he was treated wen d bodies of d victims were brought in,i am stil regreting my presence @ dat precise time though. Truth be told,d number of victims i saw re way up than d number being canvassed in d papers! May God grant d departed souls eternal rest!or,he only had a cut in his hand n anor on his forehead.
