British teacher sentenced in Sudan
A British teacher found guilty of insulting Islam in Sudan, where she allowed her young students to name a teddy bear after the Prophet, has been sentenced to jail and deportation. The British government has urged Sudan to release her early.

The British government said it would still pressure Sudan on Friday for the release of Gillian Gibbons, the English teacher who was found guilty of insulting Islam by naming a classroom teddy bear "Muhammad."

Gibbons, a UK national, was sentenced to 15 days in prison plus deportation by a Sudanese court on Thursday. She's been charged with insulting religion but cleared of the more serious charge of inciting hatred and showing contempt for religious beliefs.

Kidnapper probably killed Madeleine because of publicity, says top Portuguese lawyer
Madeleine McCann is probably dead, Portugal's attorney general has said.
Fernando Jose Pinto Monteiro said it would have been "natural" for an abductor to have killed the girl after she became the world's most famous missing child.

In a brutally frank assessment of the case, Portugal's most senior lawyer said the publicity campaign launched by Madeleine's parents had probably sealed her fate.

Mr Monteiro also revealed that the Madeleine investigation was the most expensive in Portuguese history, but admitted that he did not know if there would ever be arrests.
He insisted all lines of inquiry are still open, and that police will continue to throw resources at the case.

But he said: "There is a greater degree of probability of the little girl being dead than of her being alive.

I hope he's wrong.

Young Britain is cocaine capital of the world with more abuse than U.S. for first time
'Fashionable': Nearly one in 20 young Britons took cocaine last year
The proportion of young Britons who take cocaine is now the highest in the developed world, a report revealed recentlu.
For the first time, the percentage of 15 to 34-year-olds trying the drug has overtaken that in America.
Nearly one in 20 young Britons took cocaine last year, as it replaced cannabis, ecstasy and amphetamines as the most fashionable drug among the young.
For decades, Americans have been the chief users of the drug, which has been cheaply and easily available in cities there.
Until the last decade, cocaine was usually seen in Britain as the preserve of pop stars and City traders.
But low prices, an increasing supply and the unpopularity of other drugs has meant that Britain - together with Spain - now has the highest levels of cocaine consumption among the young here.
Figures showed that 4.9 per cent of men and women aged between 15 and 34 used the drug in Britain last year - around 800,000 young people.
In America, the percentage was slightly lower, at 4.8 per cent.

Lover boy of America...lol

Freaky Pictures

This is so freaky right? Sadly, that's a child...

The coming of a storm...not even nice

Is this possible? A giraffe looking into a plane that's obviously in the air? This picture really freaked me out.

Ok...what exactly is going on here?

Lazy mum. That should be illegal right? For the child's safety at least if not for hers

What the hell is the bird looking for in the sheep's nose?

This dress is toooo long. It's scary to look at

Bad parents.

Lord have mercy...carrying that at this age?

LOL.

Now that's weird. How did he get there?

The weirdest of them all...probably disgusting...

Is this possible?

Ruggedman's clothing line
Just saw pix of Ruggedman's 20th Sept Clothing line. I don't know what to think of this clothes. They're really cool, just that I expected the designs to be a little different from the norm...more of hip hop or Sean John style..

Check them out...

What are your thoughts? Think his clothing line will fly? I hope it does!

Naija Entertainment News
There's really nothing much happening in the Naija entertainment scene at the moment...just managed to get y'all some news...and decided to spice it up with some foreign entertainment news...enjoy!

They say P-Square's new album, Game Over, has sold over 1.5 million copies since it was released about three weeks back. I.5 million? They say the first 100, 000 copies was bought by Obaino Music at the rate of N50 per CD and he sold everything at the rate of N55 in less than one hour. The second batch that arrived the second day, 900, 000 copies, was sold in less that six days. More copies have been printed and sold...total 1.5 million? Pls don't doubt this story, in a country of over 140 million people...1.5 is possible. Congrats to them.

Folake Coker celebrates 10 years in business. To celebrate the milestone, she is staging a show on Saturday Dec 8, 2007. I'll get you details of the show later.

Rumour has it that Daystar Christian Center overseer, Reverend Sam Adeyemi, will soon take delivery of a multi-million naira private jet. They say he just ordered a SAAB 300 luxury 16 seater jet, worth millions of naira. He needs the jet to spread the gospel across the globe.

Still speaking of pastors, popular man of God and one of my favourite preachers, Matthew Ashimolowo just opened a multi million naira church in Accra, Ghana. Great!

Pasuma honoured. Popular fuji musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma just turned 40. A lavish birthday party was held for him yesterday at All Seasons Plaza, Ikeja and artistes like Adewale Ayuba, Weird MC, Olu Maintain performed. Since watching Passo on celebrity takes 2, I've fallen inlove with him. Such a character. lol.

Sasha is also set to to debut with a 13 track album entitled First Lady. Look out for that.
Ryhthm 93.7 DJ and rapper Kemistry is getting set to release her album which she titled Nuclear Weapon. Watch out for that!
African China has also released his new album called London Fever...anyone surprised about the title? It was released on Nov 16th without any media hype. Go check it out!

Ruggedman is said to have quit his management company NOW music. His reason for leaving is because he doesn't like the idea of parting with 20 percent of his income whenever he is invited for a show since he claimed to get all the shows himself. Well...when you think about it maybe he's got a point

Foreign Entertainment News
Flawless Beyonce. Aint she looking banging?

24 year old professional football player, Sean Taylor, was shot on Monday Nov 26th, at his home by someone believed to be a muggler. Although another school of thought believe he was killed by the kkk. He died the next day at the hospital.
A naked Brad Pitt. Yum indeed!

“I don’t want to be embarrassed when my kids are old enough to see my films. I can’t see any more nude scenes [in my future].”
- Brad Pitt

R Kelly is at it again...with little girls. His publicist just quit! Because Mr Kells is...?...her 19year old daughter. That's the girl pictured with him above. Seriously, hasn't this guy learnt anything? In Naija we say 'na wa o'!

Guess who the girl on the right is. 14 year-old Bobbi Christina. Whitney and Bobby's only child, smoking “something”. At only 14? God help her!

Usher and Tameka Foster welcomed a baby boy Monday night. Congrats to the couple. What I love most about the picture is the look on Tameka's face..if looks could kill, that chic would be dead...lol! 'Get off my man you b...h'? could she have been thinking that? lol

Will Smith and Tyler Perry ranked in the top ten of Entertainment Weekly’s 50 Smartest People in Hollywood list.
1. Judd Apatow, director/writer/producer

2. Steven Spielberg, director/producer

3. James Cameron, director/producer

4. Ari Emanuel, partner of the Endeavor Agency

5. Will Smith, actor/producer

6. Meryl Streep, actor

Halle Berry's classic looks. She's pictured here for her holiday diamond campaign. Diamonds...one day sha!

Akon will face criminal charges after his crowd tossing incident back in June. Akon body-slammed some kid from the crowd at Fishkill-based WSPK (104.7 FM)’s annual KFEST concert at Dutchess Stadium in New York. A girl was injured and suffered from a concussion, and now Akon must appear in a Fishkill, NY court Monday morning for arraignment.
He’ll just be charged with a misdemeanor for endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment.

Linda Hogan, Hulk Hogan's wife of 25years has filed for divorce from the wrestler. That's sad!

Rihanna looks...? I thought that shoe was inappropriate for the dress...the colour of the shoe I mean...what do do u think?

Also, I hear one of my favourite rockers of all time, Bryan Adams and one of my favourite models of all time, Elle Macpherson, are dating. I hope it's true. They'll rock together.

That's all for today...I'm serious, I'll spoil you guys with blogging this weekend...just to make up for the absense...hopefully you won't beg me to stop...lol.

See y'all tomorrow. Kisses!
