Introducing: Four Kornerz.

I heard a song some days ago titled 'Gonna make it', but the band that sang the song was unfamiliar to me. But when I love or have been moved by something, I go digging to find out all I can about it.

So I introduce to y'all, one of the biggest Nigerian boy bands in the UK, FOUR KORNERZ.

The band is made up of four brothers: Deji (27), TJ (25), Vidal (23) and Daniel (21) who combined stunning vocals with a fresh approach to music production.

Their debut single “Clap Clap”, gained rave reviews from across the music sector including Blues & Soul, Touch, I-DJ, Cross Rhythms, Live Listings and DJ Mag who gave the single five stars “one of the most incisive and irresistible soul/r&bers around”. The single also went on to receive Record of the Week at both UK leading urban stations Choice FM and BBC 1Xtra.

The Soulful House remix gained top five positions on various international House charts including Faize and TMP. The single also received generous rotation in key international territories like Nigeria, Canada, Germany and Kenya.

They opened for Styl-Plus when they came to London in March, they were also nominated for the recent Nigerian Music Award in Abuja and featured in Pride magazine.

The Nigerian-born brothers debut album 'Soulectric' will be out on June 11th this year and features the platinum-selling Nigerian saxophonist Mike Aremu amongst other noteworthy artists.

For those of you in Naija, the band will be touring in Nigeria towards the end of the year, so that's something to look forward to.

For more on these guys, visit their website, www.fourkornerz.com or www.myspace.com/fourkornerz for a feel of what Four Kornerz are about.

D banj and Idol WA Eric Quote + Stars On The Runway Update

D banj quote
On emerging 'Best Artiste Of The Year' in Ghana "I feel happy. I never knew my music is being appreciated up to that extent outside Nigeria. I will want to say that this award is another priviledge given to me by my God. More importantly, it is not within my country. I give all thanks to God"
On Kokolets in Ghana
"They are very friendly and beautiful. I never knew I have more kokolets in Ghana than in my own country Naija. They get mad love for me. But one thing that makes me wonder is that most Ghanaian girls have more protruding ass than Nigerian girls. (Huh?)

Idol WA Eric Arubayi quote
On leaving the house
"Just like everyone believes that he has what the world is looking for, but sometimes, you think you are right, but you're prooven wrong. And because you are out, it doesn't neccessarily mean that you are not good, it just means that you are out"

On female fans
"I have gone out a couple of times and it was really embarrassing, but I think I will survive. One of the experiences I had has taught me to stay indoors mostly. I think it will cut off those unwanted outings and spend more time doing lucrative things.

I'm not a suit person. I don't particularly like wearing pants, I'd rather do jeans. If you are a working class woman and don't like wearing trouser/skirt suits, then do what I do, wear office dresses. If your work place does not have a strict work wear, then who says you can't go to the office looking glamorous, sexy, classy and chic at the same time?
Check out some dresses suitable for the office...

You can do the 'suit thing' and look like this!
